David is hard at work on A King in Cobwebs the follow-up volume to In the Eye of Heaven and In a Time of Treason, taking advantage of the last few weeks before teaching picks up again in the Fall (all too soon!).

While he should be working, you may just find that his researches have inspired another post or two on his livejournal.   (Days filled with nothing but time to work, invariably create distractions of their own).

David is at Comic Con International in San Diego this weekend (as you may have guessed from the previous post), and blogging about the experience.

David is looking forward to Comic-Con International this summer.

First, there’s a signing in the signing area Saturday, July 26th from 5:00 to 6:00.

Afterward, David will participate in a world-building panel: Playing God, SATURDAY, JULY 26, 6:00-7:00, room 5AB.

Expect to see convention Guest of Honor Jim Butcher (Small Favor, The Dresden Files), Chris Evans (A Darkness Forged in Fire), Lynn Flewelling (Shadows Return), Jenna Rhodes (The Elven Ways) and Eldon Thompson (Asahiel, Shannara (screenplay)).

David is special guest at this month’s meetin of the Science Fiction Association of Bergen County, July 12, 2008.

David is interviewed on Adventures in Scifi Publishing this week. Those tuning in will also hear a Mike Resnick teaser, Tobias Buckell responding to listeners’ questions, and Lou Anders of Pyr Books discussing about today’s short story market.

David wants to thank the organizers of last night’s reading and everybody who came out to the KGB bar on a wet New York evening.

The event, including the after-party at a local Chinese restaurant, was great fun from start to finish.

(Now, on to Winnipeg for Saturday).

Tonight is David’s first reading in the USA.  If you dare to brave the rain, he hits the stage at Manhattan’s KGB Bar, 85 East 4th Street tonight, March 19th, at 7pm.

As part of the run up to David’s (and Kate Brallier’s) March 22nd reading at McNally Robinson, an online interview appears once again on the McNally Robinson site.

Next week is the big trip back to Winnipeg. Kate and David’s tickets are all arranged and they’re waiting to take off.

Expect them at McNally Robinson’s Grant Park location, 10:00 am.
